Product basics
How does FusionDocs work?▾
You upload a document (PDF, Word, Google Doc). You type the signer's email. You hit send. The signer clicks the email link, signs in their browser, done. Everyone gets the signed PDF and a court-admissible audit certificate.
What kinds of documents can I send?▾
PDFs and Word docs (.docx). DOCX is auto-converted to PDF so the signed version is universally readable.
Can multiple people sign one document?▾
Yes. Add as many signers as you want. Set the signing order (parallel by default, or strict sequential).
Do signers need to create an account?▾
No. Signers click a link, sign in the browser, no signup required.
Can I sign on my phone?▾
Yes. The signing experience is mobile-first — actually faster on phone than on most desktop signing tools.
How long does setting up FusionDocs take?▾
Signing up takes about 60 seconds. Sending your first document takes about 90 seconds. Setting up templates takes 5–10 minutes per template.
Can I undo or void a sent document?▾
Yes, as long as it isn't fully signed yet. After it's signed, the document is locked (that's how signatures work). You can mark a signed document as "voided" for your records, but you can't make the signature un-happen.
Legal and compliance
Are signatures legally binding?▾
Yes. FusionDocs signatures comply with the ESIGN Act (U.S. federal), UETA (U.S. state law, adopted in 49 states + DC), and eIDAS (EU). Equivalent legislation in the UK, Canada, Australia, and most major jurisdictions applies similarly.
Will the signatures hold up in court?▾
The audit certificate that comes with every signed document is the evidence courts ask for — signer identity, timestamps, IP, every event in the document's history. Whether a specific document is admissible depends on the jurisdiction and document type; consult your counsel for high-stakes use.
What's in the audit certificate?▾
Signer identity, timestamp of every action (created, sent, viewed, signed, declined, completed, downloaded, reminded, voided, more), IP address, user-agent. Available as a downloadable PDF on every completed document.
Security
How is data protected in transit?▾
TLS encryption on every connection. Public signing routes are additionally rate-limited per IP.
Is data isolated between customers?▾
Yes. Every company's data is fully isolated at the query layer (tenant-scoping enforced in the application).
What happens to my data if I leave?▾
You can export your documents and audit trails. Deletions are soft initially (restorable) and then permanent after the retention window. Exact retention details on the privacy policy.
Account and team
How do I invite teammates?▾
From your account, invite by email. They get a link, set a password, and they're in. Two roles available: Company Admin (manage billing, invite/remove managers) and Manager (everyday document operations).
I forgot my password.▾
Use the password reset on the login page. We email you a one-time link.
